Japan walked away with three titles this past Saturday at the Grand Slam judo tournament in Toyko. But is wasn’t just Japan’s men who came out with gold. World champion Yoshie Ueno paved the way by winning the women’s 63-kilogramme title. Her title came by defeating Nozomi Hirai and Ikumi Tanimoto. While she came out on top, she won the last two matches by a foul play.. She commented by saying, “I’m not satisfied with my performances today, because I wanted to score points with my technique. I must start training from the beginning again.”
