Kelly Blair, a trainer and former gym owner claims the book “American Icon: The Fall of Roger Clemens and the Rise of Steroids in America’s Pasttime” defames him. Blair says the charges made that he was “pushing” steroids and using his gym as a cover are false and he has filed a lawsuit seeking punitive damages for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The lawsuit also brings up one of the most notorious bodybuilders of recent years: Craig Titus
From Courthouse News:
“Defendants additionally state Blair was associated with former IFBB bodybuilder Craig Titus, a confessed murderer and convicted ecstasy dealer, who defendants claim moved steroids through Blair’s gym,” according to the complaint in Harris County Court.
Over two years ago, police found the remains of Melissa James in a burned- out car in the desert. Titus and Ryan fled the state and changed their appearances, but were captured in Massachusetts after a national manhunt.
