One of the smaller pro bodybuilders, Guisy is from Italy. She competed at last years New York Pro placing 15th, and in 2007 competed in the Atlantic City [8th lightweight] and Europa Super Show [7th lightweight]

Swedish police are accusing 42-year old IFBB pro bodybuilder Irene Andersen of possession of anabolic steroids with the intent to resale and distribute. Police allegedly seized steroids valued at less than USD $4,000 (30,000 Swedish kronor) and suspect that Andersen sold steroids to other individuals. The pro bodybuilder, gym owner and mother of three young children, strongly disputes this accusation and maintains that they were for personal use only.

Elena Shportun is from Siberia, Russia and won the Middleweight and overall of the 2009 Arnold Amatuer. No stranger to major wins, Elena is a two time Russian National Champion and won the 2007 IFBB Amateur World Title.

Since my childhood I have always been doing Sports. At the age of seven I started with artistic gymnastics, but stopped after only 2 years. After that my mother coached me in swimming and cross-country skiing. Later at the age of 17 I started karate.

At 19 years I went to a bodybuilding studio for the first time, this was in 1995. Four years later I competed in a bodybuilding championship for the first time.

The ultimate late bloomer in bodybuilding, Juliette Bergmann actually had two careers in the IFBB. In the Ms. Olympia, between 1985 and 1988, her best showing was sixth in ‘86, and between 2001 and 2003, she stunningly came out of retirement to win the lightweight and overall in ‘01, followed by lightweight victories in 2002 and 2003. Her 2001 triumph at age 42, backed up by her having one of the most symmetrical female physiques of all time, more than secured her Hall of Fame status.

Her nickname – obviously comes from her standout bodypart. She says her glutes are “Genetics I think. No other reason. They get ripped before I have any abs showing through. I even have lines in the off season when I’m 2 stone [28lbs] over show weight”

Paloma started out as a female bodybuilder in 1996, then switched to fitness competing in the WABBA federation in 2001. She is 42 years old and has won a number of titles including the IFBB Spanish Bodybuilding Championship, IFBB European Bodybuilding Championship and national and world titles in Fitness with WABBA.

One of the new IFBB pros from 2008, Alina Popa was born in Eastern Europe and relocated to Switzerland. After winning the World Championships in 2007 of the NABBA federation, she went on to win the 2008 IFBB World Championships to get pro status. Check out Alina’s website for more on her.

As an European competitor, it’s not really thst much of a transition, as like most places apart from North American, fitness and figure competitors perform mandatory poses onstage. Joanna showed a lot of promise on the competing scene and appears to have dropped out of sight recently, not competing since 2007. She first competed in England at age 20, was one of the youngest ever to get her pro card at only age 21 through winning the British Championships, and then made her pro debut at the 2001 Jan Tana – which she won.

She’s also well known for being the subject of the 2005 documentary “Supersize She” which is you haven’t seen yet – you must, it’s an excellent and interesting look at all facets of female bodybuilding.

Media Markt, who produced the ad is Europe’s largest retailer of consumer electronics and known for its humorous and offbeat advertising. Some of their slogans have included “Lasst euch nicht verarschen” (”Don’t let them make an ass of you”) and “Ich bin doch nicht blöd” (I am not stupid).

Marika’s shemuscle page features her in black lingerie…stockings…camisole…thong….need we say more? Born and raised in a very small town in Sweden, Marika now resides in the USA. An IFBB professional bodybuilder she started training with weights when she was 18.
