Whatever Happened to Sue Price?

Sue Price attended Lions park grade school, Lincoln Junior High, and Prospect High school before graduating from Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb, Illinois. While there, she developed an interest in bodybuilding. Following this, Sue briefly lived in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs before moving to the west coast to further her bodybuilding career and would later marry her partner. They divorced and Sue now resides in Southern California with her long-time boyfriend and their two children.

Sue had a limited run as a film star, being cast as the heroine Alex Sinclair in the Albert Pyun films Nemesis 2: Nebula and Nemesis 3: Prey Harder.

“A little about me:

I come from a city close to Krasnoyarsk in Siberia-Russia.

Since my childhood I have always been doing Sports. At the age of seven I started with artistic gymnastics, but stopped after only 2 years. After that my mother coached me in swimming and cross-country skiing. Later at the age of 17 I started karate.

At 19 years I went to a bodybuilding studio for the first time, this was in 1995. Four years later I competed in a bodybuilding championship for the first time. In order to improve the performance on stage I joined classes in choreography, modern and belly dancing. This helped me very much to enhance my posing routines on stage.

I dreamed all life about being an actress and performing on stage.

Beside sports I have many other interests:

I like creativity, write poems and paint. I am also a make-up artist and costume designer. I love to create my own suits as well as for friends and other competitors.”

2012 NPC USA Championships This Weekend!

Between 750 to 800 competitors are expected to turn out of the 2012 NPC USA Bodybuilding, Figure, Bikini and Physique Championships at Artemis Ham Hall in Las Vegas this Friday and Saturday – making it the biggest in the contest’s 30-year history.

A total of 53 IFBB Pro cards will be awarded over the two-day event, which begins Friday at noon with prejudging for Figure, Bikini, Women’s Physique and Women’s Bodybuilding. Men’s Bodybuilding and Men’s Physique prejudging begins at 9 am on Saturday, with the finals for all divisions set for 5:30 pm.

WHERE: Artemis Ham Hall at UNLV, Las Vegas NV
WHEN: Friday July 27 and Saturday July 28

Irene was born in Denmark in 1966, she moved to Sweden at the age of 2 with her parents. She was raised in Malmo but moved to Gothenburg when she was 20. Irene spent years in the gym and has worked hard to build this wonderful body.

Alina Popa: Pro Card Form – A Flashback!

Video below shows Alina Popa at the 2008 World Championships where she won the overall to receive IFBB pro status, she does a very nice classical posing routine – beautiful to watch.

One of the new IFBB pros from 2008, Alina Popa was born in Eastern Europe and relocated to Switzerland. After winning the World Championships in 2007 of the NABBA federation, she went on to win the 2008 IFBB World Championships to get pro status. Check out Alina’s website for more on her.

The NABBA Miss Bikini was one of the first physique contests for women, and debuted in 1966. In many ways this started the lead into modern day female bodybuilding and figure as we know it. The contest was won by Elizabeth Lamb of England pictured below…

Growing up I played Soccer and Softball, but as I got older I was more involved in gymnastics and cheerleading. When I was in 8th grade I tried out for All Star cheerleading and made it as one of the youngest on the squad! That same year, I also made the High school gymnastics team. The practices never overlapped which made me able to participate in both simultaneously!  Throughout High School I was a cheerleader in a very competitive program, we competed all over the US, even at Nationals in Dallas TX. After HS I was involved in the program in a variety of ways… I volunteered 1 season as the team conditioning coach. Another season I worked as one of the choreographers for their competition routine.
