The mild trend of figure competitors switching to female bodybuilding was highlighted at the recent Tampa Pro Show.
South African Nicole Acker, formerly a figure competitor, appeared onstage as a female bodybuilder, alongside British ex-figure competitor Carmen Knights.

26 year old identical twins, Shelly and Betsy Albetta stopped in for a workout and a photo shoot with Brian Moss of shemuscleraw.com. The twins, known across various forums as ‘NPCFigureTwins’ are New Jersey residents and NPC figure competitors.

Jessica Putnam won the 2009 IFBB Jacksonville Pro which was held this past weekend. Promoted by the reigning Mr Olympia Dexter Jackson, the event also included an NPC event and a men’s pro under 202lbs event. Jessica’s husband Peter, also a pro, placed 6th in the men’s pro show.

Reigning Figure International champ Zivile Raudoniene has just informed flexonline that she will not compete in the 2009 Figure Olympia. The 27-year-old, who placed third at the 2008 Olympia, was one of the favorites going into September’s show of shows after nabbing the Figure International title this past March in Columbus, Ohio.
Rumors have been circulating for the last few weeks that the Lithuanian beauty may be in line to join the ranks of the WWE. Could her decision to skip her sport’s most prestigious event be related?

Katya Kyptova was born in 1983 and lives in Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic. The 5′ 5″ figure competitor competes at around 139lbs, and also competes in bench press competitions. The video below shows her posing routine during a a 2009 NABBA Czech show and the photos are from Katka’s photo gallery on her website, which is well worth a look as she has quite a variety of very nice photos up – in full screen resolution as well…

I am unsure if this is a photoshop or not, the detailing on the right hamstring is suspect to me, but the “lump” on the left glute, and another image of her looks very realistic. I really, really, really, really hope it is a photoshop, as if not it is one of the worlds worst butt implants.
On a somewhat related note, there had always been talk and speculation of Brazilian Figure Star and shemuscleraw model Flavia Crisos having butt implants due to her curvaceous glutes. I personally just think she has great genetics, coupled with years with hard work in the gym. Flavia, and her infamous glutes, are pictured below:
Heather Mae French won her first ever pro contest over the weekend; the 2009 California Pro. The 5ft 3″, 103lb Arkansas born figure competitor, also recently made the Denver Dream Team Lingerie league.
