The Chinese women’s 100 meters champion, Wang Jing tested positive for the performance-enhancing epitestosterone and testosterone. The test came after winning the 100 meters race last Thursday at the National Games in Jinan, Shandong province. Wang Jing and her coach have been banned for life by the Chinese Athletics Administration Centre just after having her gold-medal stripped.
Wang Jing accepts the test but is instant that she never knowingly took any banned substance and is calling for an investigation.

Well, of course she’s “instant.” I can only recall one athlete ever in the history of all sport who fessed up after a positive test. An irish runner no one’s ever heard of named Cathal Lombard. After his positive test at The 2004 Games, he said “yup, ya got me. I did it.”
