Missouri Women’s Basketball Charges Dropped

Missouri women’s basketball leading scorers, Amanda Hanneman (pictured above) and Jessra Johnson (pictured below), were arrested last week on suspicion of assault on one of the male cheerleaders, Justin Short. He said he was beaten up by the pair.
Both players were suspended by their coach, but the prosecutor has announced the charges have been dropped. There seemed to be conflicting stories amongst the participants and witnesses, and the victim, who called in the report, doesn’t want to press charges.
The girls told police that they were defending Justin’s female roommate. He had reportedly pushed her and held her by the throat when Amanda “popped him in the nose.”
Sounds like Justin did the right thing dropping the charges. Further justice was displayed when he was released of his cheering duties…indefinitely.
