Edith Hunkeler

In a post concept that I liberally stole from my friend Joseph, let’s take a look at Edith Hunkeler. Not exactly the sexiest name no, but her looks more then make up for the name. Edith was born in July 1972 in Altishofen, Switzerland. At the age of 22 she was involved in a car accident which left both of her legs paralyzed. She went on to compete in marathons, enter the paraolympics and win her first career title at the 2002 women’s wheelchair race at the Boston Marathon with a time of 1 hour, 45 minutes, 57 seconds.

Athletic, inspirational and good looking…..can’t really ask for much more…
