Dr. Dena Westerfield
News — By Patricia on August 28, 2008 at 8:51 pmDr. Dena Westerfield is one of five IFBB female pros I can think of that have their name prefaced with “Dr”. Just earning a MD or PhD is impressive to me, let alone coupling that achievement with building a world class physique.
Interestingly enough, I can’t think of any male pros that are “Dr’s”. What’s my point? None really, I just find it an interesting tidbit.

Dear Dr. Deana: I saw you on a broadcast of “Secret lives of Women”. First congrats on your career and all the hats you wear. I too am a retired pro bodyduilder and Chiropractor, and a few of the things you said in the broadcast struck a kindered note with me. I too was very unique in my approach to patient care and the “inpractical” face of wearing clinical attire in the practice. Quite frankly, If I can’t be comfortable at work, how could I expect my patients to be? I think show my physique opened the door to questions and conversations, and interest in health. Men, women and kids like to see a well-muscled and powerful body move and operate. It makes explaining muscles and their actions even easier for them to see and understand how the work and what inervates their actions and responses. I think you look awesome. I love the look of a confident strong, shapely and sexual women. I can recall many times asking myself before a competition why I do all that I do…You know why. Because we can! Call (620) 899-0385.
