Marta Viera da Silva: FIFA Women’s World Player Of The Year

This is her fourth year in a row receiving the honor. She is considered the best female to ever play soccer and beat out all competition. she noted that the honor was ”a landmark in my career and in my life.”
Marta is now back in Brazil playing with Santos. It is a move she is happy with making telling reporters,
”I got a great reception after having played abroad for so long. The first Libertadores was so important for the development of women’s football in my country. It attracted some great crowds too.”
