Competing under the name of Lyen Wong, she placed second in the 2007 N.A.C. Universe Championship 2007 in Hamburg, Germany. Her diverse Wikipedia entry caught our attention here:

When it comes to female muscle, Venezuelan Betty Viana’s one of my all time favorites. Recently turned 40 (you wouldn’t know it by looking), Betty has won numerous titles since her start in 1991. Betty turned pro at the Central American Championship in 1997, and has several pro wins as well as finishing 2nd to Iris Kyle at the 2008 Olympia.

Best Upper Body Since 2007?

At GeneX Magazine, Gene awarded Mary Carmen Segura his Best Upper Body Award” for 2007. Gene wrote:- At the North Americans in 2007, when Mary Carmen Segura took the stage, she already looked like a pro and while she was in fact an amateur, her upper body development was already world class. Look for Seguar to do some damage in the pro ranks in 2008!

More praise from Hardfitness: “In the Light heavyweights Mary Carmen Gomez Segura from Mexico took the whole class and the show with ease. She will be a good pro to watch out for. Michelle Brent took second and Anita Nikolich took 3rd. Sabo with a new look took 4th.”
